At our recent Business Breakfast, Jo from Wander Films shared a story that perfectly captured what it means to grow and thrive in Newton Aycliffe, and we wanted to share more about the individual behind it.
James Meade, who grew up in the town and attended Vane Road Primary and Woodham Academy, is now building an impressive career in the digital and creative world, all while staying true to his roots.
He began as an apprentice with Wander Films, quickly standing out and earning the title of Digital & Creative Apprentice of the Year.
Since then, he’s gone on to work on national productions including The Lakes: ‘Our Life on the Edge’ as a camera operator and ‘The Ultimate Wingwalker’ as editor… his true passion. Recently broadcast on the BBC, these dynamic documentaries have captured the attention of viewers nationwide.
His journey is a powerful reminder that you don’t have to leave the North East to be part of something big. James continues to shape incredible stories, proving that talent grown right here in Newton Aycliffe can go far, without ever going too far at all!
A brilliant example of local opportunity, ambition, and creativity.
