BTS Fabrications, a leading North East–founded manufacturer of aluminium rainscreen, façade and bespoke fabrication solutions, is celebrating 20 years of delivering high-quality products to construction projects across the UK.
Since its incorporation in 2006, the family-run manufacturer has grown from humble beginnings in a small Middlesbrough unit into an award-winning business recognised for precision engineering, technical expertise and industry-leading standards.
Managing director Phil Atkinson, who brings more than 40 years of experience in the sector, has played a central role in shaping the company’s growth and long-term vision.
He said: “We really have come such a long way. I remember working long hours and missing out on valuable family time to ensure the business succeeded, and I’m incredibly proud of what it has become.
“We used to talk about winning awards and securing large-scale projects, and to see that now as part of our reality is something special. None of it would have been possible without the dedication of our workforce.”
Over the past two decades, BTS has strengthened its manufacturing capability through significant investment in facilities, advanced machinery and product innovation.
The business has delivered major projects nationwide, including its largest contract at York Place in Battersea, and has earned multiple regional and national awards across engineering, manufacturing and sustainability.
Alongside commercial success, BTS has placed increasing emphasis on sustainability, operational efficiency and employee wellbeing.
Initiatives such as carbon reduction strategies, enhanced employee engagement and the introduction of a four-day working week reflect a broader commitment to being not only a leading manufacturer, but also a responsible employer and community-focused business.
