Sara Davies MBE, the founder of Crafter’s Companion, has been shortlisted in the Creative Industries of the Year category at the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the stories that have taken entrepreneurs to where they are today, regardless of size or turnover.
There are 60 finalists across the North East region in 11 categories, including Creative Industries, Disruptor, Scale-Up, Start-Up, and Young, as well as new additions; Food & Drink and Health & Beauty. The event will take place on October 29 in Newcastle and regional winners will progress to the national awards ceremony.
Sara Davies MBE, founder of Crafter’s Companion said: “When I set up Crafter’s Companion from my university bedroom 14 years ago, I knew I had a really great idea but I never imagined that the company would grow to the size it is today.
“I’m so thankful that as an entrepreneur, I’ve had a strong support system. It started with my family always being there when I needed them and now I have the support of my fantastic, dedicated staff. I’m so thankful that I’ve been counted as a finalist among so many brilliant entrepreneurs but I would love to win this award to celebrate all of our achievements so far, as well as all of the exciting things that are yet to come.”
